Operator and scope

Perfume Bench is operated by Known by One, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, at 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713, United States. Contact contact@knownbyone.com with “Perfume Bench” in the subject.

These terms apply to the website, calculators, reference content and downloadable worksheets. They do not govern unrelated services offered by the operator. The current site is free and does not offer paid accounts, subscriptions or purchases.

Using the service

You may use the tools for personal learning and your own business records. Use the site lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt it, bypass security controls or present its results as an assessment or endorsement that we have not provided.

Check the material identity, units, stock strengths, quantities and costs you enter. Results depend on those inputs and the stated assumptions. For example, a stock’s aromatic contribution is different from its weighed mass, and an estimated material cost is not a complete business or tax assessment.

Educational information and product decisions

The content and starter accords are educational. They do not provide a product safety assessment, medical advice, a formulation approval or an IFRA certificate. The starter accords are untested paper exercises. Read the safety disclaimer before using the material in practical work.

You are responsible for deciding whether a material, process or finished product is suitable for your intended use and for obtaining the product-specific documentation and professional assessments needed for that use. A calculator result does not determine your legal obligations.

Your formulas and records

You retain any rights you hold in the formulas, observations and other records you enter. Using a calculator or importing a file does not transfer those rights to us. You are responsible for having permission to use third-party material you import.

Tool data is stored in your browser as described in the privacy notice. There is no server backup or cross-device synchronization. Keep your own exports, especially before clearing site data or changing devices. We cannot recover records that exist only in your browser.

Site content, worksheets and source data

You may download and adapt the provided worksheets for your personal use or internal business records. This permission does not grant rights to republish the entire site, claim its content as your own or use third-party trademarks as your branding. Other uses remain subject to applicable copyright exceptions or permission from the relevant rights holder.

The selected Wikidata records in our molecular identifier export are provided under CC0. These terms do not restrict rights granted by that dedication. It does not extend to manufacturer documents, trademarks, original descriptions or every field shown on a profile. Linked sources retain their own terms.

Availability and limitations

We may update or withdraw content and features. We aim to make the software useful, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free calculations, complete reference coverage or suitability for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or limits consumer rights that cannot be waived. These terms do not transfer responsibility for our own legally non-excludable obligations to you.

Third-party references

A source link is provided for reference and does not mean that the source endorses the site. We do not control the availability, content or terms of linked websites. Product names identify the materials discussed; trademark rights remain with their owners.

Questions, applicable law and updates

Please contact us if you find a problem or have a dispute. Delaware law applies to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory protections and rights available to consumers under the law where they live continue to apply, including any mandatory right to bring a claim in their local courts.

Changes will be posted here with an updated date. New paid or account-based services would need their own clearly presented terms. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive any right to bring a collective claim.
